KRAFT CAS-ual Friday

I can't believe how long it has been since I have done a CAS-ual Friday challenge! They are my favorite challenges and it feels so fun and exciting to do one again!!

The challenge this week is to use Kraft. I was really excited because I have just recently got really into using Kraft cardstock.
So here is my Clean and Simple creation for the challenge-

Happy Halloween!

Up close shot.

I know it's not a scary card like most Halloween cards, but I just love pumpkins. Nothing screams Halloween to me like pumpkins!

Enjoy and have a fun and safe Halloween night!

Bad, bad, bad, crafter!

I am a horrible, horrible, horrible crafter! Not only did I not get that page layout down, I haven't even touched my craft room in months!
Everything just seemed to get away from me. I went on vacation for about a month, came home and had 2 days to get my little one ready for her first day of kindergarten. After about 2 weeks of school I went away for the weekend with my mother in law to help my sister in law with her son.
After that I have just been trying to catch up with being a mommy to two little school-ers.
Anyway, my craft room got so crazy messy that it literally took me 3 days to clean and re organize it, and I still have things just sitting around and not actually put away.
Well my sister's school is having an auction to raise money for the band, so she asked me to make some cards, so I made 7, and here they are!

Thinking of You.
this one is my favorite.

Get Well Soon
I'm not happy with my little doodles, but still turned out cute

Thanks!
I was trying something fancy with only embossing the bottom corner.
I don't think I'll do that again. (= But other then that I like this one as well.

Celebrate the Season
I really like this one, and I am thinking that I am going to  make some of these for Christmas this year.

Happy Birthday
Came out a little busy for me, but it's done and I wanted to try the banner thing.
Guess it's not my thing, LOL.

Congratulations
I really like this one, and I got this idea from a sketch on pinterest.

I Miss You
I actually made this one a really long time ago for the CAS-ual Friday challenge, but I thought it would be nice to add to the mix.
So that's all I have for now. I am really sorry that I have been gone for so long, if any of you even follow which I hope there are at least a few. If so I really appreciate you following along, hope you enjoyed today's post. (=

Anyway, so you don't have to go back and forth here is the picture for the card this week, (and last week)...

Name change!

I decided to change the name of my blog.

I liked Miss T's Crafts because I live in Texas and everyone down here says Miss, Mrs, or Mr. My name is Cristina, but  I go by Tina. A few years ago my mommy in law decided to drop the 'na' part from my name and just call me T.
Well after a while I didn't really like that the blog name sounded like Misty's Crafty Things, because, well my name is not Misty.

After thinking about it for a while I decided that my favorite craft fashion is cute! I love vintage, and distressing, and glamour, and even modern, I love ANY type of craft, paper or not. But the kind I like to make, and the type that  I seem to be best at is CUTE!
I looked up my name Tina once in baby name book and it said, little, lively and cute, I am not sure that I agree with all that, but I do like that it helped me decide on my new blog name.

Cute-T-Crafts. So when you are saying it, it sounds like, cutie crafts! (=
I'm a dork I know but I love it anyway!

Have a great week/weekend all!

Tina

Baby Boy Spots

I am totally loving the CAS-ual Friday blog! I love the clean ans simple ideas for the challenges and really hope that I can keep up on entering.

CFC56

This weeks challenge is to use spots! I love spots/dots/circles! As soon as I read the challenge I had a million ideas pop into my head!
Well the thing is that tomorrow morning I am leaving to go to girls camp with my Church. I am really excited and nervous, but  I hadn't had a chance to sit and make a card sing I had to get ready to leave.
Well my sister texted me today and reminded me that my niece's baby shower is coming up. So  I instantly decided what I was going to do with my card!

I tried 3 different things, but sadly everything was going against me. I finally had a new idea that worked! But sadly I didn't take pictures along the way of making the card.
But here is the finished card!

I used three different stamp sets from CTMH as well as their card stock and ink colors: sky, sweet leaf, and creme brulee.  I used satin ribbon from Hobby Lobby, and eK Success border punches as well as one from the dollar store for the corners on the blue.
To give it a little something extra, I used liquid glass on the bottom border of circles as well as on the word, 'BOY'.

Thanks for stopping by, and good luck to everyone in the challenge!

CAS-ual Fridays Challenge

I feel so bad that I haven't done a post in such a long time, I need to get back in the swing of things. But the thing is I know it's not going to happen for another week or so. I was asked by my church to be in charge of the Young Women camp this simmer. So I have been crazy busy trying to get everything ready for that. We leave in less then 2 weeks and I am getting nervous, but mostly excited. I have really enjoyed getting to know the girls in my church and spending time with them and figuring out some fun things to do up at camp.
Anyway this is totally cheating but this is also going to count as my Maniac Monday post for this coming week. But as soon as we get back from camp I will hopefully be back on track!
So this week I am taking part in the CAS-ual Friday Challenge

CFC55: Show us your Clean And Simple stylings with bling.  We're looking for gemstones, glitter, anything that will make your projects sparkle.

So this is what I came up with.

I was thinking of my husband as I made the card. I am going to get back from camp the day before Father's Day so I decided to make a card for him for the challenge. He likes the simple cards cause he his a man, LOL.

I used CTMH dimensional banners which you can buy here from my CTMH web page.

I chose a phrase from the glitter rub-ons which sadly are no longer available.

Then I chose the red glitter rub-on sheet.

This is what it looked like in the end.

I used a Christmas paper pack from CTMH which you actually can't buy right now because it's out of season. But It's called Believe.

Here is one last picture of my card laying down. I hope you all can see the glitter mist spray on the card, I used Art-C glitter spray, in silver. I am not a pro at the spray so sadly the paper wrinkled and the top left corner got a little too much. But I decided to bring in the silver a bit more by using gray baker's twine instead of the green that I had originally  decided on. I also punched a border out for the edge of the paper with an ek success punch and I used the sky CTMH cardstock.
I sponged the tag with sky ink from CTMH and used glitter gel on the paper to give it just one more pop of bling!

Thanks everyone and see you in a little over a week. (=

PS: Forgot to mention that the card is 3.5X3.5 and the layers are cut at 3X3 (striped paper) and the small layer is cut at 2X3 (red flannel layer).    (=

Maniac Monday May 20, 2012

Last night was my Church's fundraiser for the youth camps. We asked all the members to either come up with a service or bring an object for auction. Such as: painting, food, clothing, poster, crafts, jewelry, toys, gift cards, and so on.
I am so proud of the youth in my church because we made more then enough for the boy and the girls to go to camp! I am also super grateful to all the members in the ward for their participation and donations!

I donated 2 different things; a service, and an object. For my service I offered some Cricut lessons. I heard that there were some sisters in the ward that either had a cricut and wanted to learn to use it properly, or there were some who were interested in learning so that they could decide if they wanted one or not. The bidding went well and I am excited to teach with my cricut!
The other thing I gave for auction was a pack of 10 homemade occasion cards such as; his and her birthday, Christmas, Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Valentines, Thank you, and so on.

So my post for Maniac Monday is some of the cards that I made for the auction. Here they are:

I made this Mother's Day Card with the Sophia paper pack

Girl Birthday Card
Used the Olivia CTMH PP

Used a combination of PP from CTMH on this Father's Day card

Used the Wonderland PP from CTMH on this card.
Sadly most of the paper packs that I used are retired and I do apologize. But we do have some great new Workshops on the Go. Just visit me at tinagrawe.myctmh.com or you can email me at tina@thegrawes.com and I will put an order in for you ASAP!

These last three pictures are of the Boy birthday card that I made using a retired Paper Pack from CTMH. The reason why I took some pictures of this card is for 2 reasons.
1: there isn't a lot of masculine cards out there and 2: I wanted to show how even though this is a level one paper pack that is mainly used for people who are just starting out with scrapbooking or just like the fast and simple, "get it done" approach. Doesn't mean that you can't use it for something else and make it completely adorable!

The whole piece of Paper

The paper after I cut it up.
I only used paper from this ONE piece of paper.

The card. At first it wasn't my favorite, but I really do like how it ended up.
The bakers twine is from CTMH and the buttons are some that I have from my collection.
The arrow and the inks are all from CTMH, but I believe the arrow was retired with te paper pack.

Hope you all enjoyed my card and you find inspiration everyday and in everything!
Thanks all,

--Miss T (=

Maniac Monday: Thinking Of You Card

Here is a video I made of a card for my Husbands Grandma. I realize I am actually posting this on Tuesday, but the day got away from me and I had o extra time this weekend either.

Warning this video has an extreme amount of babbling from me because I am so tired in the video.
I also must warn and apologize about how close I am in the video. I got a new table top tri-pod and I didn't realize I was of camera during some parts. Also I did not think about how my arm was cutting through the camera when I reached for things or that my left hand was covering everything I was doing.

Like I said in the video, my right arm is paralyzed so I thought that recording from the left was better, but now I'm thinking maybe not. I'll mess around some more and try to find the right angle.

Thanks to small but great group of followers and to my subscribers on YouTube.
If you need anything from CTMH please let me know and I'll be happy to order for you!
Thanks again,
--Miss T

Mother's Day Project

I was planning on doing a card for my Mother's Day post, I even had a sketch  all planned out for the card. But I had Activity Days tonight with my church and I thought I should do a Mother's Day project with them for Sunday. So this is what I came up with. Mind you they are 8 and 9 year olds and we only have an hour together. So it had to be simple, fast, fun, and cute as possible!

My girls would not let me take any pictures of them making theirs which made me sad so I only have the one frame that my 5 and 3 year old daughters helped me make for their Grandma.
I took my Cricut and 4 different cartridges so the girls could pick out their own image for the middle.
I got this one from the internet and used MTC

Hope you all have a great rest of the week and enjoy Mother's Day weekend with yuor special Mommy's and Grandma's!

Maniac Monday

Holy cow! It is really hard to get back into your regular routine when you have been gone for so long! We spent 2 weeks in the car on our road trip. We didn't stay longer then 3 nights in one place, it was crazy, but man it was fun! My husband and I are truly blessed to have such great little girls that are willing to put up with our crazy trip plans. My 5 and 3 year old were amazing on the road and while I don't know that I want to do another crazy trip again anytime soon, I'm happy to know that I can if I need to.
Now on to Maniac Monday. I started MM a little over a month ago because I feel like everyone is always so busy on Mondays  that they don't get time to craft and have fun and spend time on their hobbies. SO I try to find time during the week to paper craft and post it by Monday so everyone who follows can have a little break and a little inspiration.
I do have to admit that this week I totally cheated. I am still trying to get into the groove of things. I was going to post last week since tat was our first Monday home, but we brought my niece home with us and we had a lot of fun with her.
I did make a scrapbook for my husbands co-worker this past week but  I have yet to download the pictures.
So for now here is my little girls bathroom. I found these Winnie-The Pooh clings at the .99 cent store. And since we have a WTP themed bathroom, I snatched them up!

Over The Towel Rack

Right side of the tub

Left side of the tub, (above the faucet to the tub)

Middle back wall of the tub

Light switch

The tub and the clings
It was a lot of fun putting these up. My little girls helped me decide where to put them while they were bathing. But since they are 3 and 5, we moved things around and so some of them aren't sticking that great. I'm sure it doesn't help that I got them from the .99 cent store so I am sure they a re super old!  LOL.
I'm tempted to go back and get more, but  I really have no idea what I would use them for.
So hope you all have a great week and when I make my mothers day card I will post it ASAP!

Maniac Monday

Quick Maniac Monday post, I am trying to get ready for our camping/road trip. I am so excited!
We are going to camp in Zions with my sister and her family for about 3 nights then we are headed North to visit some of My hubby's family and then back down again for my Brother in Law's wedding and then heading home the day after the wedding. It's going to be a long crazy and awesome trip!
So I  won't be here to do Maniac Monday for the next 2 weeks. But  I do hope that whoever is following and reading is enjoying the series and getting inspired at least a little bit!
This week of coarse we did Easter fun-ness.

Nest eggs

I forgot the 'F' in Crafts. So it says, "CRATS ROCK!"
LOL

I forgot the 'A'. It should say Maniac Monday.
LOL I don't know what my problem was, HAHA.

These were for our Easter Baskets. I used the Creat a Critter cricut cartridge.

Easter Basket Cake

I added the Peeps with the eggs. (=

Shaving Cream Eggs

Mine didn't turn out that great. The color would bead off after a while, but it was really coo to try.
Plus my little people did it, so they mixed the colors all together. HAHA
Easter was a great day for us and I really appreciate being able to spend the day with my family and my friends from Church. I am so grateful for my religion and the beliefs that we have,  and for the Savior and His Son!
Hope you all had a great Easter, and I'll be back in 2 weeks!
