Maniac Monday May 20, 2012

Last night was my Church's fundraiser for the youth camps. We asked all the members to either come up with a service or bring an object for auction. Such as: painting, food, clothing, poster, crafts, jewelry, toys, gift cards, and so on.
I am so proud of the youth in my church because we made more then enough for the boy and the girls to go to camp! I am also super grateful to all the members in the ward for their participation and donations!

I donated 2 different things; a service, and an object. For my service I offered some Cricut lessons. I heard that there were some sisters in the ward that either had a cricut and wanted to learn to use it properly, or there were some who were interested in learning so that they could decide if they wanted one or not. The bidding went well and I am excited to teach with my cricut!
The other thing I gave for auction was a pack of 10 homemade occasion cards such as; his and her birthday, Christmas, Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Valentines, Thank you, and so on.

So my post for Maniac Monday is some of the cards that I made for the auction. Here they are:

I made this Mother's Day Card with the Sophia paper pack

Girl Birthday Card
Used the Olivia CTMH PP

Used a combination of PP from CTMH on this Father's Day card

Used the Wonderland PP from CTMH on this card.
Sadly most of the paper packs that I used are retired and I do apologize. But we do have some great new Workshops on the Go. Just visit me at tinagrawe.myctmh.com or you can email me at tina@thegrawes.com and I will put an order in for you ASAP!

These last three pictures are of the Boy birthday card that I made using a retired Paper Pack from CTMH. The reason why I took some pictures of this card is for 2 reasons.
1: there isn't a lot of masculine cards out there and 2: I wanted to show how even though this is a level one paper pack that is mainly used for people who are just starting out with scrapbooking or just like the fast and simple, "get it done" approach. Doesn't mean that you can't use it for something else and make it completely adorable!

The whole piece of Paper

The paper after I cut it up.
I only used paper from this ONE piece of paper.

The card. At first it wasn't my favorite, but I really do like how it ended up.
The bakers twine is from CTMH and the buttons are some that I have from my collection.
The arrow and the inks are all from CTMH, but I believe the arrow was retired with te paper pack.

Hope you all enjoyed my card and you find inspiration everyday and in everything!
Thanks all,

Maniac Monday: Thinking Of You Card

Here is a video I made of a card for my Husbands Grandma. I realize I am actually posting this on Tuesday, but the day got away from me and I had o extra time this weekend either.

Warning this video has an extreme amount of babbling from me because I am so tired in the video.
I also must warn and apologize about how close I am in the video. I got a new table top tri-pod and I didn't realize I was of camera during some parts. Also I did not think about how my arm was cutting through the camera when I reached for things or that my left hand was covering everything I was doing.

Like I said in the video, my right arm is paralyzed so I thought that recording from the left was better, but now I'm thinking maybe not. I'll mess around some more and try to find the right angle.

Thanks to small but great group of followers and to my subscribers on YouTube.
If you need anything from CTMH please let me know and I'll be happy to order for you!
Thanks again,

Mother's Day Project

I was planning on doing a card for my Mother's Day post, I even had a sketch  all planned out for the card. But I had Activity Days tonight with my church and I thought I should do a Mother's Day project with them for Sunday. So this is what I came up with. Mind you they are 8 and 9 year olds and we only have an hour together. So it had to be simple, fast, fun, and cute as possible!

My girls would not let me take any pictures of them making theirs which made me sad so I only have the one frame that my 5 and 3 year old daughters helped me make for their Grandma.
I took my Cricut and 4 different cartridges so the girls could pick out their own image for the middle.
I got this one from the internet and used MTC

Hope you all have a great rest of the week and enjoy Mother's Day weekend with yuor special Mommy's and Grandma's!

Maniac Monday

Holy cow! It is really hard to get back into your regular routine when you have been gone for so long! We spent 2 weeks in the car on our road trip. We didn't stay longer then 3 nights in one place, it was crazy, but man it was fun! My husband and I are truly blessed to have such great little girls that are willing to put up with our crazy trip plans. My 5 and 3 year old were amazing on the road and while I don't know that I want to do another crazy trip again anytime soon, I'm happy to know that I can if I need to.
Now on to Maniac Monday. I started MM a little over a month ago because I feel like everyone is always so busy on Mondays  that they don't get time to craft and have fun and spend time on their hobbies. SO I try to find time during the week to paper craft and post it by Monday so everyone who follows can have a little break and a little inspiration.
I do have to admit that this week I totally cheated. I am still trying to get into the groove of things. I was going to post last week since tat was our first Monday home, but we brought my niece home with us and we had a lot of fun with her.
I did make a scrapbook for my husbands co-worker this past week but  I have yet to download the pictures.
So for now here is my little girls bathroom. I found these Winnie-The Pooh clings at the .99 cent store. And since we have a WTP themed bathroom, I snatched them up!

Over The Towel Rack

Right side of the tub

Left side of the tub, (above the faucet to the tub)

Middle back wall of the tub

Light switch

The tub and the clings
It was a lot of fun putting these up. My little girls helped me decide where to put them while they were bathing. But since they are 3 and 5, we moved things around and so some of them aren't sticking that great. I'm sure it doesn't help that I got them from the .99 cent store so I am sure they a re super old!  LOL.
I'm tempted to go back and get more, but  I really have no idea what I would use them for.
So hope you all have a great week and when I make my mothers day card I will post it ASAP!
