KRAFT CAS-ual Friday

I can't believe how long it has been since I have done a CAS-ual Friday challenge! They are my favorite challenges and it feels so fun and exciting to do one again!!

The challenge this week is to use Kraft. I was really excited because I have just recently got really into using Kraft cardstock.
So here is my Clean and Simple creation for the challenge-

Happy Halloween!

Up close shot.

I know it's not a scary card like most Halloween cards, but I just love pumpkins. Nothing screams Halloween to me like pumpkins!

Enjoy and have a fun and safe Halloween night!

CAS-ual Fridays Challenge

I feel so bad that I haven't done a post in such a long time, I need to get back in the swing of things. But the thing is I know it's not going to happen for another week or so. I was asked by my church to be in charge of the Young Women camp this simmer. So I have been crazy busy trying to get everything ready for that. We leave in less then 2 weeks and I am getting nervous, but mostly excited. I have really enjoyed getting to know the girls in my church and spending time with them and figuring out some fun things to do up at camp.
Anyway this is totally cheating but this is also going to count as my Maniac Monday post for this coming week. But as soon as we get back from camp I will hopefully be back on track!
So this week I am taking part in the CAS-ual Friday Challenge

CFC55: Show us your Clean And Simple stylings with bling.  We're looking for gemstones, glitter, anything that will make your projects sparkle.

So this is what I came up with.

I was thinking of my husband as I made the card. I am going to get back from camp the day before Father's Day so I decided to make a card for him for the challenge. He likes the simple cards cause he his a man, LOL.

I used CTMH dimensional banners which you can buy here from my CTMH web page.

I chose a phrase from the glitter rub-ons which sadly are no longer available.

Then I chose the red glitter rub-on sheet.

This is what it looked like in the end.

I used a Christmas paper pack from CTMH which you actually can't buy right now because it's out of season. But It's called Believe.

Here is one last picture of my card laying down. I hope you all can see the glitter mist spray on the card, I used Art-C glitter spray, in silver. I am not a pro at the spray so sadly the paper wrinkled and the top left corner got a little too much. But I decided to bring in the silver a bit more by using gray baker's twine instead of the green that I had originally  decided on. I also punched a border out for the edge of the paper with an ek success punch and I used the sky CTMH cardstock.
I sponged the tag with sky ink from CTMH and used glitter gel on the paper to give it just one more pop of bling!

Thanks everyone and see you in a little over a week. (=

PS: Forgot to mention that the card is 3.5X3.5 and the layers are cut at 3X3 (striped paper) and the small layer is cut at 2X3 (red flannel layer).    (=

Maniac Monday May 20, 2012

Last night was my Church's fundraiser for the youth camps. We asked all the members to either come up with a service or bring an object for auction. Such as: painting, food, clothing, poster, crafts, jewelry, toys, gift cards, and so on.
I am so proud of the youth in my church because we made more then enough for the boy and the girls to go to camp! I am also super grateful to all the members in the ward for their participation and donations!

I donated 2 different things; a service, and an object. For my service I offered some Cricut lessons. I heard that there were some sisters in the ward that either had a cricut and wanted to learn to use it properly, or there were some who were interested in learning so that they could decide if they wanted one or not. The bidding went well and I am excited to teach with my cricut!
The other thing I gave for auction was a pack of 10 homemade occasion cards such as; his and her birthday, Christmas, Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Valentines, Thank you, and so on.

So my post for Maniac Monday is some of the cards that I made for the auction. Here they are:

I made this Mother's Day Card with the Sophia paper pack

Girl Birthday Card
Used the Olivia CTMH PP

Used a combination of PP from CTMH on this Father's Day card

Used the Wonderland PP from CTMH on this card.
Sadly most of the paper packs that I used are retired and I do apologize. But we do have some great new Workshops on the Go. Just visit me at tinagrawe.myctmh.com or you can email me at tina@thegrawes.com and I will put an order in for you ASAP!

These last three pictures are of the Boy birthday card that I made using a retired Paper Pack from CTMH. The reason why I took some pictures of this card is for 2 reasons.
1: there isn't a lot of masculine cards out there and 2: I wanted to show how even though this is a level one paper pack that is mainly used for people who are just starting out with scrapbooking or just like the fast and simple, "get it done" approach. Doesn't mean that you can't use it for something else and make it completely adorable!

The whole piece of Paper

The paper after I cut it up.
I only used paper from this ONE piece of paper.

The card. At first it wasn't my favorite, but I really do like how it ended up.
The bakers twine is from CTMH and the buttons are some that I have from my collection.
The arrow and the inks are all from CTMH, but I believe the arrow was retired with te paper pack.

Hope you all enjoyed my card and you find inspiration everyday and in everything!
Thanks all,
