Baby Boy Spots

I am totally loving the CAS-ual Friday blog! I love the clean ans simple ideas for the challenges and really hope that I can keep up on entering.



This weeks challenge is to use spots! I love spots/dots/circles! As soon as I read the challenge I had a million ideas pop into my head!
Well the thing is that tomorrow morning I am leaving to go to girls camp with my Church. I am really excited and nervous, but  I hadn't had a chance to sit and make a card sing I had to get ready to leave.
Well my sister texted me today and reminded me that my niece's baby shower is coming up. So  I instantly decided what I was going to do with my card!

I tried 3 different things, but sadly everything was going against me. I finally had a new idea that worked! But sadly I didn't take pictures along the way of making the card.
But here is the finished card! 

I used three different stamp sets from CTMH as well as their card stock and ink colors: sky, sweet leaf, and creme brulee.  I used satin ribbon from Hobby Lobby, and eK Success border punches as well as one from the dollar store for the corners on the blue.
To give it a little something extra, I used liquid glass on the bottom border of circles as well as on the word, 'BOY'.

St. Patty's Card!

Hey all, Happy St. Patrick's Day! I have a cute little card to share with you and a video of me putting it together.

I had a lot of fun coming up with the idea of this card. But I was majorly sad when I realized how small I had cut it out. But I made it work by making a small 4"x4" card. It wasn't my favorite at first because of how frustrated I was about how small it was. But it is growing on my and looks really cute on my card board display!

So in case you can't tell, I was nervous while making this card. It was my first time making a card on camera, so there is a lot of editing. I also must apologize for the the silence, I don't know how to do music on my videos yet, plus the copyright laws. (= So if any of you have any advice about music, please let me know!! (=
In the end I had a lot of fun making the card and I really hope that you all enjoy it and get inspired.

Rodeo Layouts (and video)

Hey all, how have you guys been? I have been busy, busy, busy, but luckily I have been crafting.
About 2-3 weeks ago we went to the San Antonio rodeo and it was so fun. We spent the night down there and we got up bright and early and got to go see one of our cows show in the Mini Herford competition. His name is Chrome and he did pretty good.
Also this past Friday my hubby and I went to the Houston Rodeo and got to see Reba live in concert! It was my first real concert and it was amazing! I loved seeing her live. She is so funny and so sweet. Her voice is amazing and she is just beyond great!
So with the rodeos under our belt for the  year I thought it was a good idea to get some layouts done so I could have them ready for when I print my pictures.
So here are a few pictures of them....

 

I made all three of these from 3 different paper packs that I have had for what seems like FOREVER! I actually have a lot of paper packs, but  I hardly use them. I'm not sure why, but I just have them sitting there. So I put these three to use.

Valentines Book (So late, I know!)

Holy Cow, what a horrible blogger I am!!
It has been so long since I have blogged and  I feel so bad about it! It has been even longer since I have made that video I promised. I feel shame!
The good news is that  I have been crafting. The bad news is my internet stinks and I can only do so much at a time. So right now I am going to upload the video and then hopefully this week I will be able to upload the pictures of my other crafts.

As you can see the video was really fast so I didn't go into a ton of details, but like I tried to explain I was in a hurry because it was like 2 AM and I was exhausted but I really wanted to get it done.
Like I said the paper I used was from the CTMH paper collection Sweet Hearts, which I am pretty sure has been retired. (Sorry about that). I also used the coordinating stickers with the book.
I found some great little stickers and frames, and metal embellishments from a JoAnn's and Target dollar spots. The little tag that is on the second page for my wedding, the one that says 'everlasting love'. Is just a regular price tag that  I bought from walmart. They have a pack of about 100 for maybe $2. I just cut out the saying from a word pack of vellum that I got from JoAnn's.
I had a lot of fun with this book and it really did not take long at all. I had a lot of fun with it and my hubby really enjoyed it as well.
The video that I got the idea from was this one...

  It doesn't take long at all to make and you an do so much with it.
I cut up some cardboard and used those as the front ad back covers just to give it a little extra strength.
Like I said I have a lot of other projects to post and I am hoping to set a goal for myself to make at least 1-2 videos a moth. So we'll see how that goes, and hopefully you all are enjoying them.

Day 4 and 5

Sorry I didn't have time to post yesterday. It was a crazy and fun Saturday. But the good news is, that means I have 2 pictures today!
Here is day 4 (yesterday),  first:

Day 4

 I didn't have a gift for this tag, it was just the little love message.

Again I used Lacy Labels and Holiday Red ink from Close To My Heart. I used random buttons that I have and a white prima flower that I inked.

Day 5

For day 5 I used my Old West Cricut Cartridge. As you can see this one was extremely simple. But it is way cute, and the Hubster really liked it. It was perfect for Sunday because it was Fast Sunday and we chew gum after we take the Sacrament.
I have been hiding them in different places every day, so he has a new surprise in a new place every time. That's why this is my the light switch. (=

I'd like to take this chance and express how much I have enjoyed this wonderful Sunday. I had a great day at Church and enjoyed a great evening at home with my family. I was  nervous to go to church today, but I continued to have a calming feeling and I had the most amazing lessons. I got to visit with friends and feel my Saviors love. I know that my Heavenly Father loves me and my family, and I am so incredibly grateful for the countless blessing that he has bestowed upon my family. There are so many I can't even begin to count. But they are as big as the beautiful acreage we live on, to as small as being able to scrapbook everyday.

Day 1

Hey guys,
I decided this year that I am going to do the 14 days of Valentines for my hubby. I never wanted to do it before because I thought it was super cheesy. But this year I had such a hard time figuring out what to get my husband that I decided, to give it a try.
I'm hoping to make a few videos of the making of the tags, but the thing is, I really do live in the boondocks. Meaning, my internet is pretty sad. So I did make a video of a Valentines day card that I made, but I can't get the video loaded. I think it might be too long for my internet to handle.
My internet is about a notch above old school dial-up.
So today was day 1, (obviously)! I made him a tag that said "You are a nice piece of meat" and it was attached to a bag of beef jerky. One of my hubbs favorite snacks.

 I made the tag a little huge, but I liked it. I cut two out at 4 inches with Lacey Labels. One in the shift mode and one without shift. The shifted cut was cut in red and painted with a light layer of white paint, then I distressed the edges with my CTMH edge distresser. I embossed he top layer with the embossing folder block hearts from Provo, Craft. I inked the edges with the CTMH Holiday Red Stamp Pad, as well as the words. I popped the words up with the foam dimensionals, and wrapped some random ribbon around the bottom.
